How to Issue a Refund
Refunds are issued through your BugSquad app with a Order status update in your Orders tab within your Admin panel. Here's how to do it:
First, log in to your BugSquad account.
The page should open to the Orders tab. If not, navigate to your Orders tab by clicking "Orders" in your nav menu.
Find the Order you would like refunded and click the "Edit" button in the Action column or click anywhere within the Order's row.
Near the Order Status, select the "Update Order Status" drop down menu.
In the drop down, select "Cancel and Refund."
Click the "Update" button.
An order status update alert will pop up confirming if you want to cancel and fully refund the order. If you want to continue, select the "Yes" button. If you do not, select "No."
Your customer's order has now been cancelled/refunded. The status in the "Status" column will be updated to reflect the change.
If you cancel an Order that you have not completed and is designated as "Pending" under its Order Status, the status will be updated as "Cancelled." If you cancel/refund an Order that has been previously updated as "Complete," the status will be updated as "Refunded."
Refunds by Stripe
Because your BugSquad account is integrated with Stripe, the refunded amount will be credited back to the customer through Stripe after you have initiated the refund.
When you initiate a refund, Stripe will submit a refund request to your customer's bank or card issuer. Then, depending on the bank, your customer will see their refund approximately 5-10 days later.
Refunds are issued from the available balance in your Stripe integrated account. Note that once you have issued a refund, it cannot be reversed.
